If you are a major greenhouse gardener, you are likely to have a few tried and true garden tools that you can't do without. For beginning greenhouse gardeners, the choice of greenhouse gardening tools and accessories can often be overwhelming. Sharing your experiences with beginning gardeners can save them time, problem and money.

Greenhouse gardening is essentially a pretty basic hobby. However , there are one or two trusted garden tools that will make your greenhouse gardening hours easier and more delightful.

Pots: Garden pots come in a wide selection of shapes, sizes, colours, and materials. Plastic pots may be cheap, but many experienced greenhouse gardeners know that is a good concept to speculate in clay or terracotta pots. Why? Pots can be reused from year to year, but they have to be sturdy enough to stand up to years of damage. Also, pots must be cleaned and sterilised before each use to keep your plants healthy. Clay pots can be sterilized with heat, unlike plastic pots.

Insecticide: While weeds aren't generally much of a concern for the greenhouse gardener, insect infestations could be a different story. Keeping a good multipurpose pesticide, like Sevin dust, available is usually a good idea.

Benches: Gardening benches help save your back and make greenhouse gardening more enjoyable.

Heating/Cooling: Every greenhouse gardener wants some way to manage cooling and heating for the budding plants inside. Shade cloths, basic fans, and a thermometer and often all that is required to control the temperature of your greenhouse unless your area experiences really hot summers or significantly under freezing winters.

As your greenhouse gardening hobby moves on, you are likely to collect more and more gardening kit, but knowing what the necessities are will help you keep your storage shed from overflowing and your piggy bank from growing lean.
